Departure and Thank You

Tomorrow morning we will be taking off from Chicago O'Hare airport and to begin our new adventure. Our luggage is packed, our house is in order, we have our passports (the Plant family has a history of remembering to bring our passports AFTER we get to the airport) and we have said our goodbyes. Even though we are all aware that we will only be gone for three months, these goodbyes have been particularly difficult, since we are leaving behind an amazing group of friends who have been alongside of us, supporting us, praying for us, and celebrating with us.

We were blessed to have nearly 30 of our closest friends and family with us yesterday to celebrate our departure. It was a sweet time of prayer, snacks, wine, and destroying a Justin Bieber pinata. We are so grateful that we have such a loving community. 


It has also been incredible seeing the provision of God through this time. Since we announced our plans to travel by starting this blog and sending out a handful of letters and indicated our financial need for the trip, we have received above and beyond what we had asked for. Thank you all for joining us in our journey by supporting us and we hope that you continue to pray for us and follow us in our sojourn.
