First Week

We can’t believe it has been a full week already! We are doing well, we recovered from our jet lag pretty quickly by powering through and staying awake until about 10pm the first day and then sleeping nearly 13 hours.

So far we have just been meeting people, learning how to get around, and brainstorming ways for us to be helpful. Things have developed for us and tomorrow we will be helping put on an Easter concert in a bookstore for JEO (Jerusalem Evangelistic Outreach). Today we went by to help set up some decorations and for Jared to practice playing music with a local musician. Here are some photos of our Easter decorations!

Something else that we will probably be starting, also at this book shop, is a conversational English coffee hour. We are going to try to put together a small group of young women to meet weekly and have an informal time discussing topics that they suggest in English. This will most likely start once all of the Easter celebrations are over.

Other than that we have just been shadowing Terri and Marshall, to see where we might fit in with what they are already working on. I have been attending Terri's Zumba classes just as a participant so far. I will soon start leading a few songs and then hopefully start leading my own classes.

Here are a few pictures of our home here.

Thank you for reading our blog and for your prayers. We will keep you updated as our plans develop here.
